Calibration is a process in the Simple app that helps personalize your health program based on your real-life habits. By tracking how you log meals, complete check-ins, and record hydration, the app learns how to better support your goals and tailor your experience.
Calibration happens automatically and runs in the background, you don’t need to start it manually.
How does Calibration work?
To complete Calibration, the app needs data from you over multiple days. Here’s how the process works:
The app automatically selects a calibration duration, which can be 3, 7, or 30 days, depending on its algorithms and your activity.
During this time, you’ll be asked to complete a few key daily actions, including:
Each day you complete these actions counts as a successful calibration day.
Once the required number of days is completed, Calibration finishes automatically.
Your results are applied directly to your account; there’s no separate report or score to review.
Why is Calibration important?
Calibration allows the app to learn from your actual habits instead of relying on estimates. By collecting consistent data over time, we can:
Better understand your routines and patterns
Personalize guidance and recommendations
Create a health program that fits you, not a generic plan
The more consistently you log during Calibration, the more accurate and helpful your personalized experience will be.
During the Calibration period, certain insights may be temporarily hidden. This is intentional. By limiting insights while data is still being collected, the app ensures that the information used for personalization is:
Accurate
Consistent
Meaningful
Once Calibration is complete, these insights become available, powered by higher-quality data and tailored coaching.
What happens after Calibration?
After Calibration finishes:
Your personalized program is fully activated
Insights and guidance are based on your real behavior
No additional steps are required from you
