Donโ€™t have much time or many ingredients at hand? Pasta with tomato sauce is always the answer. And even though the recipe is very simple, this dish is one of the favorites of Italian cuisine fans.

Ingredients

-500 g spaghetti

-1 tbsp olive oil

-3 cloves garlic

-1 onion

-800 g diced tomatoes

-2 handful fresh basil leaves

-Parmesan cheese, grated

-salt and pepper to taste

Useful tip

Not a fan of onions? Feel free to skip them. The pasta will turn out just fine!

Directions

Mince the garlic and chop the onion and basil leaves. Bring a pot with salted water to boil. Cook the pasta until al dente according to the directions on the package.

While the pasta is cooking, heat the skillet with olive oil. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook for another 3 minutes. Add the tomatoes, salt, and pepper, and simmer for 10 minutes, gently stirring occasionally. Your sauce is ready.

Reduce to low heat, add the drained pasta to the skillet along with basil leaves and toss everything together. Serve with Parmesan cheese. Enjoy your Italian dinner! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น
