Simple Move: How to use the Nutrition tab

The Nutrition tab helps you build healthier eating habits by making it easy to log meals, track your daily nutrition, and monitor your progress toward your health goals.

Whether you're working on weight loss, maintaining your current weight, or simply eating more mindfully, the Nutrition tab gives you personalized guidance based on your goals.

What you can do in the Nutrition tab

From the Nutrition tab, you can:

  • Log your meals and snacks throughout the day.

  • Track your daily calorie intake.

  • View your macros (protein, carbohydrates, and fat) totals.

  • Monitor your progress toward your daily nutrition targets.

  • Build healthy eating habits over time.

Your nutrition targets are personalized based on the information you provide during setup.

Journal

Your Journal organizes your day into breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Simply select a meal time/type to begin logging food.

Nutrition Dashboard

At the top of the Nutrition tab, you'll find your daily nutrition summary, including your progress toward your calorie goal and other nutrition targets. As you log meals, your dashboard updates automatically throughout the day.


How to log meals in the Nutrition tab

The Nutrition tab offers several ways to log your meals, making it easy to track what you eat throughout the day.

To log a meal:

  1. Open the Nutrition tab.

  2. Select Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snacks.

  3. Choose how you'd like to add your food. If needed, describe the meal.

  4. Review your meal and nutritional breakdown

  5. Tap Log meal. Your meal will now appear in your Nutrition history

Depending on your preference, you can log foods via:

  • AI Camera: Take a photo of your meal and let Simple identify the foods automatically. Review the detected foods before saving your meal.

  • Upload a photo: Upload an existing photo of your meal from your device for analysis.

  • Barcode scanner: Scan a packaged food's barcode to quickly add it to your meal.

What happens after I add my meal?

Simple's AI analyzes your meal and identifies the food, ingredients, estimated serving size, calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates. You'll have the opportunity to review everything before saving.

Tip: Logging meals consistently provides the most accurate nutrition insights.

How to edit your meal:

Before saving, you can adjust the serving sizes, change quantities, review nutrition information, add additional foods, and remove foods you no longer want to include.

How to edit or delete a logged meal

Need to make changes later? Open the meal from your Journal and update or remove foods as needed.

To edit or delete a meal:

  1. Open the Nutrition tab.

  2. Select the meal you'd like to update from your Journal.

  3. Make any necessary changes, such as:

    • Adding or removing foods.

    • Adjusting serving sizes or quantities.

    • Changing the meal details.

  4. Save your changes.

If you no longer want to keep a meal, you can delete it from the meal details screen.

Note: Any changes you make will automatically update your daily nutrition totals and progress.

Tips for accurate nutrition tracking

For the most accurate results:

  • Log meals soon after eating.

  • Adjust serving sizes whenever needed.

  • Review AI or barcode results before saving.

  • Include all foods and drinks consumed during your meal.
