I forgot to log a meal or a fast
Updated over a month ago

No worries, you can log meals retroactively!

Simple allows you to log any meal you've had over the past month. If you had a meal, but forgot to log it, you can still record it later on.

Good to note: since fasts and meals are connected, your new meal logs might affect your previously logged fasts. For example, if you log a meal in the past that falls in the middle of your previously recorded fast, your fast time will change. Please check your logs and adjust them if necessary. Learn how to edit your fast logs here. You can also learn how to edit your meal logs here.

The same thing works with fasts

If you need to log a fast in the past, simply select the date you were supposed to start the fast and tap on the Log previous fast button.

Choose the start and end date and time of your fast, and then tap on "Log fast." You can also specify how you felt during that particular fast.

The fast will appear on the day you ended the fast, so in the case of the image above, it will be Friday.

Good to note: in Simple, every fast starts and ends with logging a meal. So if you haven't logged your meals either, we will automatically create empty meal logs after logging a fast. You can then edit them to specify what exactly you ate that day. Please check the steps in the How to log and edit food article.

If you logged a meal but forgot to start your fast

This is not a problem either. Just tap Start fasting.

After that, you’ll be prompted to select the previously logged meal as your fast-starting meal.

🙌 Now you know what to do if you forget to log your fast or meal!
