How to use the workout player

Once you tap Start Practice, the player opens and your session begins. Your coach will guide you through each movement with both video and audio, you just follow along.

What you'll see on screen

  • Your instructor's video plays in full screen so you can clearly see each movement.

  • A timer shows how much time remains in the current exercise.

  • A progress bar at the top of the screen shows how far through the overall session you are.

  • The name of the current exercise and your percentage through the session appear at the bottom.

  • Session settings and coach audio settings let you adjust your experience as you go.

Your coach's voice will guide you through technique, breathing, pacing, and encouragement throughout the session. They'll also offer tips for making movements a little easier or more challenging depending on how you feel, along with gentle reminders to keep you safe and moving correctly.

Session structure

Each session is divided into sections, or circuits. Before each circuit, a brief introduction screen will appear to prepare you for the upcoming exercises. If you prefer, you can tap Skip to jump straight in.

While the intro is on screen, you'll also see a Session plan button at the bottom. Tap View to open a full breakdown of the session showing each section, the exercises within it, and how long each one takes. Tap the X in the top right corner to close and return to your session.

A brief pause is provided between exercises to help you reset and get ready for what's next. If needed, you can add an extra 10 seconds before moving on.

Pausing and navigating your session

Tap anywhere on the screen to pause. When paused, you'll see three controls in the center of the screen:

  • Prev — go back to the previous exercise.

  • Play — tap to resume your session.

  • Next — skip to the next exercise.

At the bottom of the screen, tap Session plan to view the full session content and see what's coming up next.

To end your session early, tap End Session in the top right corner. You'll be asked whether you'd like to save your progress or exit without saving:

  • Save for later — saves your progress so you can continue from where you left off next time.

  • Exit and lose data — ends the session without saving, meaning you'll start from the beginning next time.

Session settings

To access session settings, tap the settings icon in the top right corner of the player screen. From here you can:

  • Add to favorites — tap the heart icon to save the session to your profile for easy access later.

  • Turn sound on or off — toggle the coaching audio to suit your preference.

  • Background music — turn it on or off based on your preference.

  • Exit session — if you need to stop early, you'll be asked how you'd like to leave:

    • Save for later — saves your progress so you can continue from where you left off next time.

    • Exit and lose data — ends the session without saving, meaning you'll start from the beginning next time.

Adjusting the coaching audio

Tap on the coach profile picture during your session to bring up the player options. You'll see three audio settings:

  • Coaching On — your coach talks you through every movement. This is the recommended setting, especially when you're just getting started.

  • Coaching Off — the video plays without spoken coaching.

  • Section Break Only — you'll hear your coach only at transitions between sections of the session.

You can switch between these at any point during your practice.

After your session

When you finish a session, you'll be asked "How was your session?" Give it a star rating, then tap any words that describe how you felt. You can also add any additional thoughts in the text box. Tap Submit when you're done. Your feedback helps shape your experience going forward.
