The app now includes a GLP-1 tracking companion that allows you to track your GLP-1 medication alongside your daily activities like food, water, and workouts.
This feature helps you manage your treatment, set reminders, and log important details about your injections in one place.
This feature is an experiment available only to certain iOS users
What is GLP-1?
GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) is a hormone naturally released in the gut after eating. It helps your body:
Signal fullness to the brain
Slow how quickly food leaves the stomach
Regulate blood sugar levels
In simple terms, GLP-1 helps manage appetite and blood sugar.
What are GLP-1 medications?
GLP-1 medications mimic the natural GLP-1 hormone. They are also known as GLP-1 receptor agonists. Examples include:
Ozempic®
Wegovy®
Mounjaro®
Zepbound®
Trulicity®
Rybelsus®
These medications are commonly prescribed for:
Type 2 diabetes
Chronic weight management
Please always follow your healthcare provider’s guidance when using these medications.
How GLP-1 medications support weight management
GLP-1 medications help regulate several biological processes related to weight and metabolism.
Appetite regulation: They act on appetite centers in the brain to reduce hunger and cravings.
Slower digestion: They slow stomach emptying, helping you feel full longer.
Blood sugar control: They help regulate insulin and reduce excess glucose production.
Because weight management involves multiple factors such as hormones, metabolism, and behavior, GLP-1 treatments are often combined with:
Nutrition guidance
Physical activity
Coaching or lifestyle support
Medical supervision
